Hiking the Ridge

Coming off the summit of Duck Ju Bong,
a helpful staircase makes one of the steeper
cliff faces manageable. Changwon, Korea,

Namhae Road Trip!

Sangju Beach during the hot days of early spring
is one of my favorite escapes...gorgeous sand,
no people. Namhae Island, Korea, April 2009.

What you hope road signs WON'T look
like on your next road trip...how on earth
are you expected to read all that before you
make your crucial turn??? Namhae, Korea,

Namsan

Perched on a small mountain in the center of
Seoul, on clear days Namsan (Seoul) Tower has
terrific views of the city below. It also has a
variety of cool public performances, art exhibits
(like these airborne figures), and thanks to a
popular TV episode in which newlyweds celebrated
their love by affixing a lock to the guard fence and
throwing away the key, thousands upon thousands
of locks hand printed with love letters. Seoul, Korea,
April 18, 2009.
