One of Jeju's famous woman divers - these women (some as old as 75!) gather seaweed and shellfish with no air tanks for as long as 3 minutes at a time. Although the pay is good ($40 000 US per year for 3 or 4 months of work), few young women are following in their elder's footsteps, so we were lucky to see any at work. Seogwipo, Korea, June 12, 2006
